Minoxidil

About Minoxidil:

Minoxidil solution is a treatment which can promote hair growth in both men and women who are experiencing gradually thinning hair or hair loss, primarily at the top of the head and comes in the form of a foam or solution. Minoxidil is a vasodilator and this relates to the widening of the blood vessels. It is not known how Minoxidil stimulates scalp hair growth, but it is possible that it dilates blood vessels in the scalp, which may stimulate hair follicle function and encourage the regrowth of scalp hair. Prior to using Minoxidil, you will be advised to arrange a full, no obligation consultation with Dr. Somji, to discuss your medical history, any medication you are currently taking and to determine whether the treatment is right for you, as there are some medical conditions that can interact with Minoxidil solution.
